A.Slade's Heart & Hand Youth Development Services, Inc was envisioned in remembrance of Angela Lynette Slade; a strong woman in Christ. Angela dedicated her life to the human services field; as a Behavior Health Tech, Special needs Educator, SRO, Mentor, advocate for the LGBTQ community, and Respite Aid for Developmentally Delayed  Children & Adults. Angela was born in Germany and like many students she mentored, she was adopted by a loving family in the states. Angela continued to give and show unconditional love to her family, friends, and the labeled hopeless, and that love carried until her battle with cancer ended in 2017. The passion and leadership for ASHHYDS,Inc has been at the forefront of making a difference in children’s lives since 1996. Located at the intersection of community and life, ASHHYDS is a life-affirming journey that builds upon the richness and power of lifelong values for youth to become exceptional community leaders.
